From “System Disclosure” to “Voluntary Disclosure”

Disclosure in Japan is divided into “System Disclosure” – the disclosure of financial information required by Japanese law, and “Voluntary Disclosure” – the disclosure of information typified by IR. The scope of these disclosures has been expanding in recent years, and our business opportunities have been expanding as a result.

The Arrival of the “e-Disclosure Era”

“EDINET,” an electronic disclosure system for securities reports and other documents (mandated in June 2004) was converted to XBRL in 2008, and has played a leading role in Japan’s electronic disclosure era. In addition, in the field of IR as well, the digitization of content has been proceeding at a rapid pace.
